Modules
What is a Module?
A module in Zymmr is a logical grouping of related work items or functionalities within a project. It helps in organizing work and managing specific areas of a project more efficiently. Modules allow teams to focus on distinct sections of a project, making tracking and managing different components easier.
How to Create a Module in Zymmr
Navigate to Project Listing Page
- From the Projects listing, search for the project you want to configure.
- Click on the project to open it.
- On the right side, click on the 'Project Configuration Settings' icon.
Access the Module Section
- In the configuration settings, look for the Module section.
- Click on the Module section to open it.
Create a Module
- Click on the 'Create Module' icon.
- Fill in the following details:
- Module Name: Enter a descriptive name for the module.
- Module Description: Provide a detailed description of the module.
- Module Lead: Assign a user responsible for the module.
- Click the 'Save' button to save the details.
- Once saved, the module and its attributes get listed.
- Refer to Linking a Module to a Work Item for more details.
View and Manage Modules
- All modules available for the project will be listed.
- Against each module, you will see the 'Edit' and 'Delete' icons.
- Note: If a module is linked to a work item, the module cannot be edited or deleted.
Limitation
- Currently, they are not visible across the Gantt chart to provide a visual representation of Modules.
